Organic Standards & Certification

​This type of fulfilment meets standards set by a certifying body to supply organic goods. A fulfilment company must show compliance with various legislation to become a certified organic warehouse. This currently includes 834/2007 governing the storage of organic food.

Being fully certified as an organic warehouse and fulfilment centre allows us to process both retail and trade orders that contain organic products, while meeting the high standards laid down by the EU, DEFRA and the Organic Food Federation.

Maintaining Organic Standards

As part of our certification with the Organic Food Federation, the PackBase Fulfilment Centre and our organic fulfilment process will be regularly inspected to ensure:

1. Staff receive extensive training handling organic food and products
2. We maintain excellent levels of staff hygiene
3. We have regular and documented cleaning schedules, ensuring excellent standards at our facility
4. There are strict processes for the receipt of goods, organic or otherwise at our fulfilment centre
5. There are methods of accurate stock control, including records at batch level
6. We keep examples of product labelling/packaging for all products in our warehouse
